Last weeks winners have been reported by our 20 minutes correspondent Graham Knapp, we now cross to him live.. “Amid the roar and din of an enraged and pulsating crowd, SINS OF THE FATHER took out last week's edition of The 20 Minutes Of Fame band showcase. With a power-hungry five peice metal/death set up, audience and judges alike were simply obliterated into submission by the intersecting rythmns, isometric hair windmills and point-blank delivery of power this new young band had to offer! WOW.
Friday, 14th November
direct from Melbourne Bang! Bang! Aids! will be caught in sonic snap shot amidst their whirlwind tour of Perth – that includes a house party in Rockingham no less! Supports are the ironically titled Noise Etiquette, those abrasive and challenging chaps Pahlemik, local drone core local band of the millennia Cease and Perth’s metaphysic master of performance Chris Cobilis. 9pm start and it’s only $5 to get in..
Saturday, 15th November
come check this jam packed bag of pop bands.. Chelsea Lights, Loads, Gigantic and The Harlequin League. It’s free to get in and starts at 8PM.
Sunday, 16th November
the Novocain’s, Colors, the Cartridges and Shake Angel will all be jamming for you from 6PM. Entry is $5.
Monday, 17th November
the Neighborhood crew present ‘3 is the magic number’. It’s a comp whereby producers get up with MC’s and turntablists as trios and battle for an audience vote at the end of the night. Expect to see Soma, Spotty, the 89 King and Diger Rokwell hanging all focused. 8PM start and it’s free to get in MTHRFX.
Tuesday, 18th November
Abbe May, Jeff Strong, Bobby Burges and Luke Dux will all be Going Solo. $5 entry, 8PM start.
Wednesday, 19th November
in the signature of what the Knackers night is all about Maximum Perversion, Buried at Crossroads, Angelsai, a bus crash decapitation and DJ Kick Out the James will be pummeling everybody in the room with their new louder forms of guitar rock. This all starts at 8PM. $5 entry.
